The Houston SPCA
The Houston SPCA is funded entirely by donations from caring individuals, community-minded businesses, and gift and grants from charitable foundations.
Caring for the over 100,000 animals in need each year is an expensive endeavor, and your generous donation today will help further our mission. Donating to the Houston SPCA is an investment in your community because your entire donation is used locally to benefit the animals of our area.
The Houston SPCA is a private, non-profit organization which receives no funding from the government, United Way or National Animal Welfare organizations. We rely on the generosity of the community we serve to support us and the many services we provide. With more than 82 years of service to the animals and people of Houston, Harris County, and the greater Gulf Coast region, the Houston SPCA has a long-standing record of careful stewardship of funds. Below are the giving opportunities for the Houston SPCA. We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and your donation is tax deductible.

Honorariums and Memorials
Animals are dear to many people’s hearts. And what better way to honor or memorialize someone than with a gift to the Houston SPCA. We receive honorariums for birthdays, marriages, every day accomplishments and even a few BARK Mitzvahs! Memorials are a great way to remember a beloved pet or loved one and their love for animals. Be an Animal Friend
One of the easiest and most cost effective ways is through our Animal Friends Monthly Giving Program. This program offers donors the opportunity to give a monthly gift directly from your checking or savings account or on your credit card. This is a cost effective way to help us because we are able to save money on mailing costs. It’s easy for the donor because you don’t have to remember to send in that gift you’ve been meaning to send in!

Brick by Brick, You Can Make a Difference
By supporting the Houston SPCA Friendswalk, you will help the thousands of homeless and abused animals that are in our care. Like the bricks that currently line our walk, a brick can be engraved with your own personal message and permanently placed along our walk for only $150.00. Cat and Dog Kennel Sponsorship
Sponsoring a kennel at the Houston SPCA is a unique way to show your support for the homeless and abused pets that we care for on a daily basis. For only $250.00 per year or $1,000 for a lifetime sponsorship, your personalized message will be on a kennel sign that will be placed throughout the shelter. Matching Gifts Double Your Donations!
Ask your employer if they match charitable contributions. Many companies do! It’s a great way to double your donation through your company’s generous charitable giving program. Auto Donation
Donating your vehicle is great way to help the animals of the Houston SPCA and a great tax-deduction for you. We accept vehicles through our auto donation program. For more information please contact 713-869-7722 ext. 158 or via email.
Do Something That Costs You Nothing!
It’s simple to help! Just present your donation card or Houston SPCA code to the corresponding grocery store and a portion of your bill will be donated to the Houston SPCA. These cards are different from your "rewards" card. It really adds up!
Randall’s Remarkable Card Code 777. Stop by the customer service desk at Randall’s and they will link your Remarkable Card to our Good Neighbor number.
If you shop at Gerland’s, ask them to link number 115970 to your Reward’s Card.
The Kroger Company has recently changed their Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program. As a result, any cards previously issued in association with the Houston SPCA (as seen below) are no longer effective.
