Lost in Transit
We miss our special cat and want her home again. I need help from people in Texas to distribute posters so that she can be found and returned to us.
Here is a photo of my sweet cat, Tawny Rose. She was lost on Thursday the 31st of May in Coleman, Texas or nearby when we were traveling through to South Texas. It was at least an hour before we missed her, as she is a seasoned traveler. We spent several days backtracking, walking streets, and searching. We have contacted Brownwood H. S., the two papers in the area, along with the radio station. Before we left the area, we spoke to many people, showing her photo and giving out our phone number.
I would like her returned to me, however, I have a dilemma, in that, my cat had been a "stray", I believe, prior to entering the humane society system in Canon City, CO where I found her. She is street savvy and may be headed home to Canon City, Colorado; or to a farm in Hardesty, Oklahoma, where we have visited family members with her on a number of occasions. She loves being at the farm.
This is no ordinary cat; she is affectionate, smart, trained and very people-oriented, a true survivor. She will come to a regular dog whistle and will come to "kitty, kitty" and her name. She is very tame and affectionate. She loves the, "Mocking bird song"; it seems to calm her. She plays keep-away with me (revised from the dog version), however, if I sit down she walks right up to me and into my lap.
She is four years old, weights apx. 10-12 lb.., is spayed, wears a black collar with two tags. One tag is a rabies ID from Canon City, CO, Fremont County. The other is a red plastic pet locator tag.
How can I get the word out to all of the related areas she could be traveling through? I started to contact veterinarians and realized the enormity of the task. Contact:
